Alicia Pallenchier

Alicia Pallenchier (b. 1997) is a digital painter based in France. She uses drawing as a means to translate her feelings and give life to her inner world and thoughts.

I spend 99% of the time in bed suffering, but on special occasions I’m able to sit in my wheelchair for a moment, like in this picture that was taken on my birthday. I discovered digital drawing about a year ago, an activity I can pursue from my bed with my tablet. Inspired by photos of myself or other things that inspire or move me, I trace my emotions with my stylus, without claiming to be a skilled artist. Through drawing, I aim to express everything that illness has taken away, all the experiences we can no longer live.
