Blog Guidelines
Our blog posts aim to create discussion and highlight the art and experiences of those both within and beyond the severe ME/CFS community. Those in the broader ME, disabled, and chronically ill communities often face similar struggles and societal barriers. Through our blog, we hope to highlight those voices as well.
What can you expect when writing a blog post with us?
You will be asked to write an essay, 800-2000 words, independently, about the topic discussed. This is the ideal length, not a requirement; we accept longer or shorter works as well. Once completed, our team will review the writing and make any necessary grammar or content changes, which we will review with you before publishing. You will then work with our team to set up the blog post page and create a cover illustration that highlights both you and your chosen theme. You are welcome to include images and artwork that help illustrate or support your writing, and a brief Author Bio with a portrait of you will be included at the end of the blog post.
Our team needs at least 2 weeks after the final draft is sent over to format and finalise everything.
Content restrictions include: the promotion of products, plagiarism, blatant medical advice, misinformation, AI-generated writing, or the mention of treatments that have been used to harm the ME community, such as brain retraining, GET, and CBT.
This is a volunteer opportunity to raise awareness and provide a platform to share your voice and artwork.
